121st GILLESPIE COUNTY FAIR – the Grand Daddy of them all!

Mark your calendar for August 20, 21, 22, and 23 and look forward to the 121st GILLESPIE COUNTY FAIR. This year’s fair is complete with pari-mutuel horse racing, simulcast racing, carnival midway, livestock and agricultural exhibits, antique tractors & machinery, arts & crafts and dancing under the hill country sky.

The Fairgrounds are located at 530 Fair Drive on Highway 16, 2 miles south of Fredericksburg, between Fredericksburg and Kerrville, Texas

Thursday, August 20.
Fairground Gates open at 5 p.m.
Carnival and Midway open 5 p.m.

Friday, August 21.
121st GILLESPIE COUNTY FAIR Parade –Main Street in Fredericksburg – 10 a.m.
Fairground gates open after the parade.
Gillespie County Fair Queen Contest – 7 p.m.
Dance - 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. - Darrell McCall and Tennessee Volunteers
Carnival opens 12 noon to midnight

Saturday, August 22.
Fairground Gates open –10 a.m.
Carnival opens 11 a.m.
Pari-mutuel horse races – Post time is 1 p.m.
Dance - 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. - Gary P. Nunn with special guest Jake Hooker & his band

Sunday, August 23.
Fairground gates open – 10 a.m.
Carnival opens 11 a.m.
Pari-mutuel horse races – Post time 1 p.m.

ADMISSION:
Thursday evening, August 20.
Free admission – Does not include carnival

Friday, August 21.
All students – including Grades K through 12 – Free.
Children under 6 – Free.
Senior citizens (65 & up) – Free.
Adults (General admission) - $5.
Concert & Dance - Included in Admission

Saturday, August 22.

Children 6 to 12 years - $1
13 through 18 years - $5.
Adults (General Admission) - $5
Box Seats - $9
